BACK AT THE LAST XMAS DAY LUNCH OF THE COALITION GOVT
It’s not easy dodging the Pollies at Xmas day charity
lunches in Sydney – but we thought at least ex-PM Malcolm Turnball would have finally
given swanning around the WAYSIDE CHAPEL street one, by the last year it turned
out NSW Premier Domino Perotwat would still be running the ultra-Rightwing
Coalition NSW Govt. It was bad enough to have a pink shirted Turnball help serve up
microwaved frozen prawns to homeless at long tables in the street – followed by
middle-aged ladies shamelessly getting selfies taken with him.
Maybe if we turned up late enough – the pinkie prig Turnball
would have shuffled off already and let the local Santa (announced as being a
local GP) to get some of the limelight. Noone seemed to want a picture with
him in his Santa shed – despite constant pleadings that he’d have to go soon, (back to his 3 minute appointments
perhaps). However, at least he had something so say – pleading for more “KINDNESS”,
that was perhaps by now costing an extra surcharge (thanks to Turnball’s PM
successor - Slow -Mo).
SUDDENLYPREMIER PEROTWAT TURNS UP WITH FAKE MEDIA CAMERAS
In a time-honoured compulsory-voting tactic – the Dominator
Premier went around the prawn entre tables shaking hands with helpless elderly
ladies, while grinning (assured that none would be game to ask him anything –
which as “who are you?”). A great big plainsclothed Security wally stuck to him like glue. Perhaps he's shadowing one-term "Labor" PM Elbo now. The Big Media cameras were behind us munching pawns and confected pressed turkey slices – as I dared to
ask him about a few things. Meanwhile an older lady seated near us cautioned me NOT
to be political – by repeatedly declaring “ITS CHRISMAS!” Therefore I went all Xmas
like – pointing out that Santa couldn’t afford to live in this area anymore (it
being Potts Point).
“He has to live at the North Pole – but we can’t move to the
North Pole”. Apparently, this wasn’t Xmassy enough - according to the IT’S XMAS
lady, so I said, “what do you think Jesus would say about this ?” No-one answered - so I suggested
that he’d say something like - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I’d already pointed out to Domino Peratwat
that he hadn’t being building Social Housing and he would no longer be Premier next year (after the election). In any case, he resigned after
losing the NSW election –only later showing his true colours by
eventually becoming a Spokesthing for the Property Council or whatever. So, by being a big failure at providing housing for all in NSW – he now gets paid to
tell everyone to just go off and BUY a house somewhere.
Recently some big Developer type guy at a City Council office called me a "clown" - after he tried to push in front of me in a queue (of one). We've been advocating for many years that Sydney be Decentralised with VERY FAST RAIL - as local Labor Federal Member TANYA PLIBERSEK acknowledges. Will her PM Elbo commitment to building the Sydney to Newcastle section if relected in 2025 - or are the homeless stuck in an unaffordable Emerald City of high-rise apartments ? Over to you Toto.
