TVU CHANNEL ALLOWS CONTENT FOR TVU BLOG
During 2022 some effort (and expense) was made to start putting archival material of the Unemployed Peoples Embassy into video file formats that can be edited into short Trailer length mp4 files - to put on our https://televisionunderground.blogspot.com Online Publication (or blog). More detail on these video projects will appear on our new blog https://unemployedpeoplesembassyaustralia.blogspot.com.
Links to other key UPE blogs and websites will appear there too - such as https://oocities.unemployedembassy, which is our first website and has a lot of archival material. such a key Dole News issue. We hope to digitise other paper Dole News issues as we locate them. Access to spaces and expertise to do more multimedia archiving would be appreciated. Digitising our colour/direct sound super 8 and analogue video tapes - is especially needed.
The initial content being linked to out TVunderground blog is our 2022 Save Our Sydney (SOS) 10 min docu on parks & theatres under threat - with stories "PLANES THAT ATE SYDENHAM" and "PHANTOM THEATRE OF CATHEDRAL ST". The first "doco" though is just over 2 min - we call AndesMusic - as part of a wider doco being dubbed PERU "UNDERCOOKED". A 5 minute extended version of AndesMusic is being developed sometime, as well. The short version came from a media course shoot which our Media Manager attended from mid-2022, (as a senior-age student). Given the political current chaos in Peru & changes in Brazil - further content will be sought for the Doco.
AndesMusic is about two brothers, raised in Sydney - who started their interest with playing music with Hendrix, then discovered an interest in the cultural heritage of their family - from Peru. Other short video productions, are video trailers for a branch series from Save Our Sydney - looking at transport crossroads areas in inner Sydney - that we want to try and save from current high-rise apartment overdevelopment. One is already edited and only runs for a minute or so.
OUTSIDE CONTENT: A set of guidelines is being developed to encourage inclusion of video content from other production providers - via vimeo/youtube links. The UPE contact phone number is in the Sydney White pages Directory and we have a PO Box address as well.
